The Angler fish's nervous system consists mainly of the brain and a spinal cord running down the dorsal side of the animal. Nerves run from the spinal cord to various muscles and organs to stimulate activity. The brain is divided into areas assigned to specific roles, much like a human's. The brain is a long and relatively thin organ with three main sections; the forebrain, midbrain, and hindbrain.
